All photographs on this page are samples of hand carved walking sticks. Your order will be similar in design, but each piece of wood is substantially different. Walking sticks and carved wood canes can be cut to the desired length. Unlike walking sticks, my wood canes are curved at the top to provide support.
To measure for length: while wearing your usual footwear, stand against a wall with your arms hanging comfortably at your sides. Measure the distance from the floor to the crease of your wrist. The result will provide an ideal sized cane to provide the proper support.
I welcome custom orders. If you wish a custom design, please contact me by email with the details, and I may be able to accommodate you. Carved walking staffs and canes can be custom ordered to include snakes, wood spirits, wizards, lighthouses, animal figures, indian heads, head caricatures or something you might imagine. A custom designed walking stick may incur an additional charge. If desired, I will carve your printed initials on your walking stick or cane at no charge.
